Hello, world!
My name is Elsie
I was born to Nigerian parents in Bristol, England, moved to Manchester when I was 7, and spent the last few years in Southern California studying Computer Science and Chemistry at Pomona College. Along the way, I've worn a lot of different hats: researcher, teaching assistant, rugby player, mentor, musician, student leader. This blog is a place for the things I find interesting. Some of that is technical - software, systems, projects, and the occasional deep dive into a topic that catches my attention. But you'll also find reflections on books, travel, sport, learning, and whatever else happens to be occupying my mind at the time. I've always admired people who are curious about many things and willing to follow that curiosity wherever it leads. This space is my attempt to do the same: a collection of notes, ideas, projects, and stories gathered along the way. If something here resonates with you, I'm glad you found it.
Current hobbies
I make music — mainly trumpet, piano, and production. I love to work out and walk long distances from wherever I happen to be. I've begun to dabble in the repair culture, disassembling and reassembling various electronics. I'm super into roller skating.
I'm always down to try something new. Feel free to send me a message with any suggestions!
And while you're here, why don't you take a look at some of my projects...
